Fleet Partners improves fleet safety and compliance for Caltex using Tiikr

RESULTS

Situation

Fleet Partners, then part of the Eclipx Group, managed 55,000 vehicles across Australia and New Zealand. This included Caltex’s Australian dangerous goods fleet of 200+ vehicles. However, disconnected systems made it difficult to track defects, prioritise repairs and keep maintenance processes consistent. Fragmented records also limited visibility into defect status. As a result, delays in resolving faults increased fleet safety risks. These issues made it harder to meet Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations and regulatory requirements for transporting hazardous materials. Caltex therefore needed a central system to monitor defects in real time and coordinate timely corrective actions. It also needed consistent compliance processes and clear documentation trails across its operations.

Impact

Tiikr digitised defect management for Caltex’s dangerous goods fleet, helping Fleet Partners coordinate maintenance across Australia. Real-time alerts notify teams when issues need attention. Meanwhile, centralised reporting improves visibility into defects and corrective actions. Clear audit trails also support Chain of Responsibility compliance. Together, these tools help teams respond promptly to maintenance needs, improve fleet safety and work more efficiently.

Return on Investment

Tiikr helped Fleet Partners reduce downtime by resolving defects faster. Better scheduling also reduced repair costs and improved maintenance coordination. Meanwhile, centralised records improved audit readiness and supported safety compliance. Clearer fleet oversight helped teams identify outstanding issues and prioritise repairs. Together, these improvements delivered cost savings and more efficient vehicle maintenance across Australia.
