Fleet Partners, then part of the Eclipx Group, managed 55,000 vehicles across Australia and New Zealand. This included Caltex’s Australian dangerous goods fleet of 200+ vehicles. However, disconnected systems made it difficult to track defects, prioritise repairs and keep maintenance processes consistent. Fragmented records also limited visibility into defect status. As a result, delays in resolving faults increased fleet safety risks. These issues made it harder to meet Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations and regulatory requirements for transporting hazardous materials. Caltex therefore needed a central system to monitor defects in real time and coordinate timely corrective actions. It also needed consistent compliance processes and clear documentation trails across its operations.
